Terms of Service

The following are the Terms of Service for Internet Service from Russet Communications, LLC (“Russet”). 

Basic Broadband Packages consist of a bandwidth to support multiple users. In the case of the starter package it is a single user only plus $20/month for additional computers, with only a single IP address. The Wireless Modem System is the physical hardware, or CPE, consisting of the wireless unit, antenna system, and up to 50’ of cable. A router is required to provide network security, and several models are available to choose from depending on the number of users and are readily available for purchase by the customer. The system is intended for use with one commercial IP address that uses Network Address Translation to private address systems. Additional components may be required for certain distances, bandwidth requirements, and multiple IP addresses. A site survey is required to determine antenna placement and its mounting and prices may vary according to the result of the survey. We have a staff of antenna installers that will provide complete installation. A DSL connection may not be available due to distance and line limitations. For the copper (telephone or T1) lines a CSU/DSU system is required for a dedicated connection. Prices are based on being within 50 miles of an Internet circuit. Check for promotions because the cost of this system may already be included in the price. Consult with us for the proper unit. Installation costs should be expected. CPE and antenna equipment may change according to availability and performance requirements. Prices may change without notice prior to order placement. 

The site survey will be at no cost to the customer, providing the customer buys service. Otherwise the charge is $85/hour. Customers must be credit-worthy and we accept credit cards. 

The following steps are required: 

·           Successful site survey with recommendations

·           Signature on "quote form"

·           Service Level Agreement must be understood by the customer

·           Maintenance Agreement must be understood by the customer

·           Co-Location Agreement (if required)

·           Key Agreement (if required)

·           All service is one-year automatically renewable except for specific specialty services

·           Installation by third parties is beyond our control and responsibility.

·           All service is intended to be "business-class" Internet service. Consult our Service Level Agreement.

·           All customers must be financially responsible and credit worthy

·           Support of the customer's computer network, its design, and service are not included in our pricing.
